Dr. Bryan Mayou

Biography:

Bryan Mayou has been a consultant plastic surgeon in London working at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital, St Johns Centre for Dermatology and Queen Victoria Hospital East Grinstead since 1983. He founded and developed the Plastic Surgery and Laser Unit at the Lister Hospital, Chelsea working closely with other specialists including dermatologists. He left the health service in 2000 to continue in full time private practice. Bryan Mayou was born in Warwickshire and educated at Epsom college which has strong medical connections. He returned to Birmingham to graduate from the medical school in 1969. He trained initially as a general surgeon in London and then began a five year training in Plastic Surgery in 1976. This training was in London including the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street and in the United States and France.
